Educational Qualification
- Technician Apprentice(Mechanical ): Full-time Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
- Three years (or lateral entry after Class-XII (Sc)/ITI admitted in 2nd year of Diploma course) full time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering:
- i) Mechanical Engineering
- ii) Automobile Engineering
- Assistant HR: Graduation (any discipline)
- Accountant: Graduation in Commerce
- Data Entry Operator: 12th Pass (Below Graduate)
- Domestic Data Entry Operator: 12th Pass + Skill Certificate
- Qualification must be completed on or before 31 January 2026.
Age Limit (as on 31.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation: The relaxation of upper age limit for reserved categories are as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD-OBC (Non creamy layer): 13 years
- PwBD-SC/ST: 15 years
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on merit (percentage of marks) in the qualifying examination
- No Written Test / No Interview
- Tie-breaking criteria:

- Higher marks in matriculation
Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and related rules.

After successful registration with the above agencies, a registration number will be generated and the candidate has to mention this registration number while applying for apprentices positions in Indian Oil Pipelines portal at https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/. No. Selection is purely merit-based. There is no written test or interview.
Q2. Can final-year students apply?
No. Candidates must have already passed the required qualification by 31 January 2026.
Q3. How many apprenticeship trainings can a candidate do in IOCL?
A candidate can undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, but the second apprenticeship must be in a different trade. There must be a minimum one-year gap between two trainings (except in case of termination for reasons not related to the apprentice).
